Oak Mountain Winery
Oak Mountain Winery with views of Oak Mountain is an oasis of Temecula Valley charm. The picturesque hillside vineyards are planted to the classic Bordeaux varieties Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petite Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. We have also slipped in some unique varietals such as Counoise. Our wines are a true reflection of this very special place with a relaxed, classic beauty that is timeless. We are the only winery in Temecula that houses two wineries under one roof. Wines from both Temecula Hills Winery and Oak Mountain Winery are tasted and sold from our Oak Mountain Winery location. Both wineries are owned and operated by Stephen & Valerie.
The story begins with an intense, meticulous and an insatiable desire to make the best wine possible defines proprietor / wine maker Stephen Andrews. With his wife Valerie by his side the team started Windy Ridge Cellars established in 2001 on 11 acres where Stephen & Valerie reside. Following a name change due to a trademark issue Windy Ridge became known as Temecula Hills Winery. The steep hillsides provide an excellent terrain for the Rhone varietals planted at the 2,800 foot elevation. Planted at this locale we have our estate Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Viognier, Syrah, Mourvedre, Grenache, Sangiovese and Primativo varietals.
Steve & Valerie can be seen most every weekend pouring wine at Oak Mountain and sometimes even talking winemaker Steve into doing a barrel sample. Our friendly staff can not only help you with your wine needs but also with local accommodations to make your visit to Temecula Wine Country memorable. Come visit us seven days a week to taste our award winning wines and picnic in our Vista Pavilion overlooking hillsides of vineyards surrounded by picturesque mountains.
