Mount Palomar

Mount Palomar Winery is a fine wine estate dedicated to making wines of distinctive taste and high quality. Located among rolling hills and mesa lands at 1400 feet elevation, Mount Palomar Winery is a working wine estate on 315 acres. The estate comprises vineyards, a large piazza, concert stage, and terraces plus the winery and visitor's center.

Mount Palomar Winery produces premium Temecula Valley wines with emphasis on classic, Bordeaux style blends and Italian varieties. Mount Palomar also has a nearly four decade history of producing excellent Port and Solera Cream Sherry. Recognitions we have gained include numerous Best of Show awards at major wine competitions, and numerous Best of Class, Best of Region and State, and Gold Medal distinctions. Mount Palomar has also been recognized for sustainable environmental practices in viticulture. Winemaker Craig Boydadds his own flair to the already outstanding wines developed by previous winemakers, including producing new varietals.

Mount Palomar's first vineyards were established in 1969 by founder John Poole; winemaking began in 1975. John created a place where people could immerse themselves in the world of fine wine in a pleasant and relaxed Wine Country atmosphere. Under new ownership, Louidar Inc., will continue the tradition but on a bit larger scale. Current development plans include extensive new vineyard plantings, a larger wine production facility, restaurants, a world-class, wine country resort and spa and estate homes.
